About Brian

I am a Spanish tutor based in Tamworth, with a First Class Honours degree in Arts and Humanities, specialising in Spanish, and I am currently training in Secondary MFL Spanish through a PGCE. My experience includes academic study, classroom teaching practice, and supporting learners at different stages of their Spanish journey. I have developed strong skills in explaining language clearly, building confidence, and adapting lessons to suit individual needs. As someone who has spent several years learning Spanish myself, I understand both the challenges and the rewards of learning a language, and I use that personal experience to make lessons supportive, practical, and encouraging.

About the lesson

I am a Spanish tutor based in the UK, offering supportive, well-structured lessons designed to help students build confidence and make steady progress. My role is not only to teach Spanish vocabulary and grammar, but also to help students feel comfortable using the language in real situations.

My teaching approach is calm, encouraging, and student-centred. I believe students learn best when lessons are clear, engaging, and adapted to their individual needs, goals, and pace. I aim to create a positive learning environment where mistakes are seen as a normal and important part of learning.

My lesson style combines explanation, practice, repetition, and active participation. Lessons are designed to be interactive and accessible, with a focus on listening, speaking, reading, and writing. I use a range of activities to help students understand how the language works and to develop confidence in using it independently.

Whether a student is preparing for exams, improving school performance, or learning Spanish for personal interest, my aim is to make lessons enjoyable, motivating, and effective.

My lessons are priced clearly and fairly to offer both flexibility and value. Individual lessons are £20 per hour. For students looking for regular support, I offer a block of 5 lessons for £90 and a block of 10 lessons for £175. Block bookings provide a discounted rate and are ideal for students who want to build confidence and make consistent progress over time.

I offer a free 30-minute trial lesson for new students, giving us the opportunity to discuss goals, assess current level, and see whether my teaching style is the right fit.
