About Sharon
Coming from a psychology background I feel would be beneficial to tutoring students by finding a way of learning that suits them. I am very extroverted making me very easy to get along with. I’m also very flexible, understanding and patient. I currently conduct private tutoring as well as peer to peer tutoring. I also tutor for private tuition agency in small groups mainly in English and Selective Entrance for Year 8 students.

I am in currently completing my thesis at Deakin University with plans to continue on to my Doctorate of Psychology studies. I have great interpersonal skills making me very easy to get along with. There is also the ability to work under pressure as well as great time management so students can get the most out of our tutoring sessions. I have exceptional written and verbal communication. I'm adaptable, very proficient and very hard working. Coming from a Psychology background I am very driven in coaching, mentoring and tutoring my students for success. There are many ethics to abide to with private tuition so I would expect student and tutor to adhere to that. Student's need to be able to feel comfortable and have a great relationship with their tutor to be able to learn and grow to their potential.
My teaching method will focus on what the students specifically need help with or what they find difficult. There are many different concepts to teach something difficult so nothing is impossible. The structure of the lessons can be structured from knowing the needs of the students and what they are having difficulty with. Facilitating the learning of an individual task requires lots of patience, motivation and coaching. As there are many difference concepts of helping a student understand, perseveremce will make anything achieveable.
