About Ziv
I am a dedicated saxophone tutor with over 6 years of experience teaching college students. I believe learning music should be enjoyable, clear, and confidence-building. My teaching style focuses on helping students understand concepts properly while developing strong technical and expressive skills. Each lesson is designed according to the student’s goals and learning pace.
My lessons include tone development, breathing techniques, finger coordination, rhythm accuracy, and musical expression. I balance structured exercises with creative activities so students remain motivated and interested. Improvisation and performance practice are included to help students gain confidence and musical freedom.
I use real-life music examples to connect practice exercises with actual songs and performances. I also use modern teaching methods such as recording feedback, play-along tracks, and personalised practice routines. These tools help students track progress clearly and improve effectively.
Along with saxophone performance, I teach music theory, ear training, and sight-reading to build a strong musical foundation. My lessons are supportive, patient, and well-organised, helping students enjoy learning while improving steadily.

My approach to teaching Saxophone is student-focused, creative, and disciplined. I believe learning music should be enjoyable while also building strong skills. I focus on developing proper breathing techniques, posture, embouchure strength, finger accuracy, tone clarity, and timing using simple explanations and step-by-step guidance.
Creativity plays a key role in my lessons. Students are encouraged to experiment with sound, play familiar tunes, and practise guided improvisation. As a mentor, I provide encouragement and support, helping students stay confident even when they face challenges.
Critical thinking is encouraged by teaching students to listen carefully to their playing and understand how to improve. Accountability is maintained through regular practice schedules, clear goals, and honest feedback. Along with Saxophone lessons, I also teach Music Theory, Rhythm Exercises, Ear Training, and Scale Studies to strengthen musical understanding.
