About Kelsey
For 16 years, I have been helping students learn and enjoy Piano through personalized and engaging lessons. I teach school students, college students, and working professionals, adapting my teaching methods to suit different learning styles and goals.
My teaching style focuses on patience, communication, and practical learning. I believe that students learn best when lessons are interactive and connected to their interests. Therefore, I combine structured exercises with enjoyable musical activities.
Students learn piano fundamentals, scales, chords, rhythm development, sight reading, ear training, music theory, and performance techniques. I also guide students in developing efficient practice routines that support continuous improvement.
Beyond Piano, I teach keyboard fundamentals and music theory, helping students understand the language of music. This knowledge allows them to become more confident and independent learners.
I am committed to helping students build confidence, improve their skills, and enjoy every step of their musical journey. My lessons are designed to inspire growth, creativity, and a lifelong love for music.

I believe learning piano should be enjoyable, inspiring, and suitable for every student's individual needs. My teaching approach combines communication, creativity, flexibility, and practical learning to create lessons that encourage confidence and steady progress.
Students first build strong fundamentals by learning posture, hand position, finger coordination, rhythm, note reading, and music theory. After mastering these basics, they move on to scales, chords, dynamics, articulation, pedal techniques, sight reading, and expressive performance.
I use simple explanations, demonstrations, and practical exercises to make every lesson easy to understand. Students are encouraged to ask questions and participate actively so they develop confidence and become independent learners.
Creativity is an important part of my teaching. Students explore different musical styles while learning simple improvisation, accompaniment, and musical interpretation. These activities improve listening skills, confidence, and overall musicianship.
Along with piano, I teach keyboard fundamentals, ear training, rhythm development, music theory, sight reading, performance preparation, and music appreciation. These supporting subjects strengthen both practical and theoretical knowledge.
My aim is to create a positive learning environment where students enjoy music, practice regularly, and develop skills that stay with them for life.
