About Max
I am a passionate piano tutor with 12 years of experience teaching students from school, college, and professional backgrounds. I believe learning piano should be meaningful, enjoyable, and structured to help students develop both technical skill and creative expression.
My teaching approach emphasises patience, clear communication, and personalised guidance tailored to each student’s goals and learning style. I design lessons that strengthen fundamentals such as finger technique, hand coordination, rhythm, and sight-reading while gradually introducing advanced techniques.
I also teach music theory, ear training, and rhythm exercises to ensure students gain a comprehensive understanding of music. Lessons are interactive and engaging, including song-based practice, creative exercises, and performance preparation.
I specialise in simplifying complex concepts, motivating students, and helping them develop confidence, consistency, and disciplined practice habits. My ultimate goal is to create a positive, inspiring, and supportive environment where students can enjoy music and achieve their full potential.

My teaching methodology focuses on creative expression and technical mastery. I believe that learning piano should inspire students to explore music freely while building strong technical skills. Through active communication, I identify each student’s learning style, interests, and goals, enabling me to create lessons that are personalised, motivating, and effective.
I encourage students to develop their creativity by experimenting with improvisation, exploring musical styles, and composing their own pieces. Flexibility is essential in my approach, as I adapt lessons to the student’s pace, preferences, and abilities, making learning comfortable, enjoyable, and productive.
Alongside piano, I teach related subjects such as music theory, sight-reading, rhythm, and ear training. This holistic approach ensures that students develop technical proficiency, musical understanding, and expressive ability. My aim is to guide students towards becoming confident, skilled, and expressive musicians who enjoy playing and performing music.
