Hello writers! I am a writing coach with 5+ years of experience as an academic English instructor and writing consultant at the University of South Dakota. I love talking with students about their writing and working with them to strengthen their writing skills and gain confidence!

I am a writing coach who loves asking questions, discussing ideas, and giving writers confidence and agency in their writing. You'll never feel like I'm talking *at* you, but with you!
We begin the lesson by reading your writing out loud, and I will stop to ask questions and initiate discussion. I like to address the big ideas first, like thesis statements and essay organization before moving into sentence-level elements like grammar and punctuation. Our lessons will end with a brief plan to continue working on your writing.
I have experience teaching and consulting with the following essay types: academic research, synthesis, analysis, literary research and analysis, and criticism.
