About Raghu

I wish to bring a few details about myself.
My name is SHAMJI VENKATA RAGHAVENDRA RAO ( For short either SHAMJI or RAO ). I am a British Citizen and a qualified Doctor duly registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) of the U.K. for 43 years and has a clean Professional Record and Standing.
I have practiced medicine in the U.K. for about 20 years ( 14 years in Hongkong and about 6 years in India as Anaestheologist) in various NHS and Private Hospitals from 1973 to 2014. I have retired from active medical practice but want to keep in with the profession and I feel I am a good teacher in the Basic Medical Sciences viz. Anatomy, Physiology, Pharmacology and their application in clinical mediine.
I have over 30 years of teaching experience in the mentioned subjects as I was teaching the medical undergraduates, nursing staff and paramedical staff when I was working in Senior Position during my clinical practice. I am a trained, qualified and widely experienced Anaestheologist.
I am currently living in East Ham.
I am now 69 years old and in perfect and good health leading a very active life in all respects.

I have known Dr Raghu Shamji for a very long time.Having completed medical training in India, he worked as anaesthetist in the far east and U.K.
During his stay in U.K, he worked in our anaesthetic department as Staff Grade Anaesthetist for six months. During that time, he proved himself to be a competent anaesthetist with a sound knowledge.
With anaesthetic background, I would expect him to be able to teach basic medical sciences like physiology and pharmacology which are essential for anaesthetists.
