About Miguel

As a co-founder of a recent organization that is developing a Counter Strike course 100% in European Portuguese, I try to teach my classes with methodology, rigor and professionalism.

I took a degree in Languages, Literatures and Cultures at the Faculty of Letters of the Univ. Lisbon and acquired skills in terms of communication and language, as well as in the development of teaching methods.

I work professionally in the field of video editing and videography and, therefore, in terms of video calls or pre-recorded online classes, you can expect quality video and audio and, when necessary, a dose of creativity and refinement in the presentation of my classes. It's not just about learning Counter Strike; it's also about having a pleasant experience while you're doing it, treating yourself like I would any professional in my field.

About the lesson

After contacting and requesting the student, as requested, I will make an assessment and define the best structure of the classes to address the respective situation.

Individual cases:

1st phase: As per the request, I will suggest to the person a minimum number of classes which, in a common case, will involve an assessment of technique, knowledge and psychological profile. This will involve a few steps like evaluating a person's demo, requesting some custom exercises on Workshop servers, and so on.

2nd phase: I will ask the person so that I can be present on Discord or TeamSpeak during a game, in order to assess the person's communication priorities in real time and take notes on the psychological profile throughout the game.

3rd phase: After obtaining the results, I will identify the problems with the person and apply my teaching method to solve them, respecting the student's learning pace.

4th phase: As soon as the problems that serve as a barrier to the student are corrected, there will be a free path to evolve. In this phase, I will develop new game methods with the person, create a game philosophy that fits the player's profile and offer technical, tactical and psychological tools so that the person, after classes, can continue its evolution in a self-taught way.

5th phase: I will name two professional players that, in my view, fit the student's style so that, with demos and live game accompaniments, the student can have an example to follow.

Team cases:

1st phase: If the client does not request a specific request and just wants general help without a clear objective, I will play the role of a temporary coach and analyze 2 demos on 2 different team maps. After taking notes and creating a general evaluation of the demos, I will share some of the results with those interested (without sharing everything, so that in the 2nd phase I can be present in a live game without players playing self-consciously).

2nd phase: I will ask to be present on the team's Discord or TeamSpeak during a live game, to assess communications, the team's psychological behavior and how this affects individual and collective performances. Afterwards, I will compare these results where the team was aware of my presence with the demos where I was not present, to cross-reference results and obtain a more concrete and realistic assessment of the team's capabilities.

3rd phase: I will theorize a style and philosophy of play for the team. If it is a professional team that has already worked on these two aspects and, therefore, has already developed an identity, I will look for adjustments to smooth out rough edges or suggest reformulations, if I deem it necessary.

4th phase: I will suggest corrections for individual errors that I consider absolutely incompatible with the style and philosophy of the game that I created for the team. Here it is important to note that if players want a full individual content assessment, there will be an extra cost associated with the extended work that will have to be done on my part.

5th phase: I will offer tools to the team to anticipate possible problems that may arise in the future and, if the team agrees with the style and philosophy of play that I indicate to them, I will suggest a professional team from the national or international scene who have a philosophy so that you can follow along as an example below.
