About Ryan
Hi there! My name is Ryan! I've graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor's in Science in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics. At UCLA, I've worked as an educator at both the high school level and at the collegiate level. As an undergraduate student, I served as an Executive Director for CityLab, one of the University's best STEM programs that teach science in an innovative and unique manner. Further, I've been a Teaching Assistant within the UCLA Life Sciences Department for the introductory biology courses there, and have experience as a Pedagogical Head Undergraduate Learning Assistant as well. As a TA, I have worked with over 300+ students to deliver discussion materials and tutor students during office hours within a higher-level biology setting. As a Pedagogical Head, not only have I mentored hundreds of students, I've also served as an instructor for other Learning Assistants at UCLA, teaching them the skills they need to instruct others.

As a tutor, I am committed to ensuring that my students learn in an engaging and unique manner. To me, learning has always been fun and exciting, and I hope to spread that love of learning to other students as well. From Crash Course Videos to Kurzgesagt to textbooks, I know what works and doesn't work when it comes to learning. I aim to develop a standard that will be engaging and personalized for each student that works with me. At the end of the day, I sincerely believe that learning can only be achieved by developing an interest in the subject, something that can only be nurtured and developed through high-quality teaching, which I aim to deliver.
