About Sebastian
I graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a degree in Neuroscience and a 3.99 GPA. While at WashU, I spent several years teaching General Chemistry, first as a Peer Led Team Learning leader and later as a General Chemistry TA, where I led recitations and worked closely with students both individually and in groups. I was also recognized with an Undergraduate TA Award for my work with students.
Those experiences taught me that knowing the material is only part of being a good tutor. The most important part is figuring out where a student is getting stuck and being able to explain the same concept in different ways until it clicks. That is the same approach I bring to MCAT tutoring.
I have also worked extensively in neuroscience research, which has strengthened my background in biology, biochemistry, physiology, and scientific reasoning. I genuinely enjoy teaching science and helping students become more confident tackling material that initially feels overwhelming.

My approach to MCAT tutoring is individualized to each student. We’ll start by identifying where you’re losing points, whether that comes from content gaps, passage interpretation, timing, or test taking strategy, and build our sessions around those areas.
During lessons, I like to work through MCAT style passages and questions together, focusing not only on getting the right answer, but understanding why each answer choice is right or wrong and how to recognize similar patterns on test day. For content heavy areas, we can slow down, rebuild the underlying concepts, and then reinforce them through practice.
I also know firsthand that MCAT improvement is a process. I improved from a 504 diagnostic to a 517 on the real exam. My goal is to help you study more efficiently, identify what is holding your score back, and develop a strategy tailored to your target score and test date.
