About Chanuka
I am a friendly and enthusiastic medicine student at Imperial College London that aims to bring my academic expertise and experience to help inspire confidence in students. My deep understanding of the subjects allows me to break down complex concepts into digestible, relatable ideas for students. In addition to my academic background, I have years of experience teaching public speaking, where I honed my ability to communicate clearly, adapt to different learning styles and make me a patient and empathetic teacher who prioritises building a supportive and engaging learning environment. As someone who has navigated the challenges of GCSEs and A levels myself in the subjects I aim to teach as well as the UCAT, I understand the pressure students face and can provide tailored strategies for mastering content and excelling in exams. I am passionate about education and driven by a desire to help others succeed and I aim to inspire my students to achieve their full potential and achieve their goals.

My teaching approach is student centred, focusing on identifying and addressing individual strengths and areas for improvement. I use a combination of interactive explanations and step by step problem solving to make complex concepts relatable and easier to grasp. For subjects like Maths, Biology, and Chemistry, I emphasise building a strong foundation, followed by targeted practice and exam techniques. For UCAT tutoring, I aim to help students develop effective strategies for each section, build speed and accuracy, and improve decision-making under timed conditions. My typical length of lessons will be 60 minutes depending on the student's needs and attention span which allows plenty of time to cover topics in depth, practice questions and address any queries without overwhelming the student. I offer tutoring for GCSE students in Maths, Biology and Chemistry as well as A level students in Biology along with UCAT preparation for prospective medical students.
