About Iman
I am certain I will be able to provide a friendly and positive learning environment for all children. I am currently in my second year of university studying law. I really enjoy spending time with children and I have a great level of knowledge on how children learn best and I am looking forward to implementing this in my lessons! I have experience of volunteering at a nursery where I spent all day reading books with the children, and engaging and playing with them. I have also tutored Year 7 students at my secondary school which taught me how much I enjoy tutoring young people. I have achieved 8 GCSE's with the grades 3 (A*s), 1 (A), 2 (B's) and 2 (C's). I also achieved A*, A*, A for my A levels for the subjects English Literature, Politics and Psychology. I have taken this knowledge to my degree which I am completing next year. I am therefore really looking forward to using my great English knowledge to support any student that needs some assistance and I will support them immensely so they achieve the best grades!

My teaching method involves displaying subject information on presentations using mind maps and mnemonics. I also will ensure students feel comfortable asking any questions that they have as I am aware of how helpful this can be for learning. I will quiz the children in an engaging way weekly based on the knowledge I have taught to ensure they are actively learning. The typical length of a lesson will be 45 minutes - 1 hour, however, I am happy with reducing this to 30 minutes or teaching up to 1.5 hours. I have tutored Year 7 pupils at my secondary school for two months and really enjoyed supporting them with English. Particularly, I helped them complete their homework and explained it throughout whilst they asked questions. My lessons are for both primary school children as well as secondary school pupils (including and up to GCSE level).
