About Anna
Hi, I’m Anna! I sat the Leaving Cert and HPAT in 2023, achieving top marks in both. I scored 225 points in the HPAT, placing me in the 100th percentile, and was awarded the MedEntry HPAT Excellence Scholarship for being among the top three overall scorers.
I'm now studying medicine in UCD, and really couldn't imagine doing anything else! I began tutoring in September 2023, and have helped students reach scores as high as the 99th percentile. As a UCD student ambassador, I'm also very familiar with the different universities, and the intricacies of the admissions system, so if you have any questions, I'd be more than happy to help.
Initially, I found the HPAT preparation process challenging, but over time, I came to really enjoy it. My goal as a tutor is to provide guidance and help students succeed in the same way I did.

As a tutor, I tend to use an active, student-centered approach. Sessions typically last one hour and are focused on working through targeted HPAT-style questions together, with a particular emphasis on developing the reasoning process, recognizing common traps, and improving exam technique and time management.
My lessons are aimed at prospective medical students, primarily 5th and 6th year secondary school students, and are suitable both for students who are just starting preparation and those seeking to improve their performance.
