About Vipul

I've been into the live industry pre-covid, and after lockdown I totally moved into production (in-studio). I've been performing with a lot of talented artists on reputed stages as a guitarist and drummer. In production, I am mostly into film scoring/composing, and metal, orchestral, indie rock, electronic, and experimental-world genres. Lately, I have been recording as a session instrumentalist and composing short documentaries for some popular web platforms, working with really talented and celebrated artists. My areas of interest lie from everywhere to everywhere. As a producer, I have to be on my toes, to entertain clients in all genres. I don't prefer to work for music related to political or religious influence, but besides, I keep expanding my knwoledge in almost all genres I could cover.

About the lesson

Primarily, clearing all the myths about music and audio ( like the selection of DAW, hyper-emphasizing the mix, neglection of proper recording, over-exaggerated needs for gear), I majorly focus on making the students self-sufficient to approach any new type of music they get from a client to create, rather than just teaching them about a particular genre. How I make this viable, is by making them understand the application of the concept in terms of audio. Most of the people, starting out in the field are unable to work in any new genre they haven't before, only because they have learned about some certain genres only. I believe this is not what a student would expect when he comes to me, so it's my job, to make them efficient enough to be confident at whatever situation they get into (with a client).

I approach teaching my students in a very practical way, but I don't neglect the importance of theoretical knowledge as well. I believe in placing the concept deep into the mind and heart of the learner so that he doesn't only enjoy the classes, but also, the concepts remain stick in his mind always, so that he doesn't have to look back ever.

I do promote young learners to start production WITHOUT any big investment in gear, as it is a myth also, (that you need a lot of expensive gear for production) because I myself have been producing for these years inside my bedroom, without any expensive monitors or audio interface, until now (Building a proper recording studio, with best-in-class gear, for commercial projects, and interactive offline in-studio sessions for students!). Gears do matter at a point, but only after when your ears are perfectly trained, without proper knowledge, even a song made out of million-dollar gears can sound shit.

After being so long into the industry, observing the misconceptions rooted in the beginners, I see it as my vision to bring a change, spread awareness about true concepts of audio and production. And as I always say, don't just believe whatever I teach, check what other people say too, apply it for yourself, and do what you find best!

More than anything to say, I always maintain a relationship with my students. Once, who gets in touch with my sessions, is a part of my family. There are always guest lectures on different topics coming up in the academy, exclusively complimentary to the academy students!

Cancel a day prior to the session- 75 % refund, afterwards, no refund.
