About Luke
I have been teaching singing for over 8 years, and my path has always been guided by a love for the voice as a whole instrument. With a Bachelor of Music in Classical Voice, I bring both technical knowledge and a holistic perspective to every lesson. My teaching combines physical alignment, breath awareness, and expressive vocal practice to help singers connect deeply with their sound. I believe the body and voice are inseparable, so I often use yoga-inspired warmups to awaken both balance and freedom. I guide students through body mapping and tension release techniques, which allow the voice to flow naturally and without strain. My approach emphasizes awareness as much as sound, encouraging singers to listen inwardly as they create outwardly. Beyond classical foundations, I love exploring genres such as World Music, Chanting, Folk Fusion, and Healing Sound. These styles invite creativity and broaden the ways we can experience the human voice. In my lessons, music is not just performance—it is a path toward well-being and presence. Every singer, no matter their level, has a voice worth discovering and sharing. Together, we’ll cultivate confidence, expression, and inner balance. My goal is to help you unlock your voice as a tool for both creative freedom and personal harmony.

My teaching approach centers on building strong vocal foundations while encouraging each learner to find their unique voice. I focus on proper breath control, pitch accuracy, and tone development through step-by-step guidance that is accessible to beginners and challenging enough for more advanced singers. Beyond technique, I place strong emphasis on confidence-building, especially for those who feel nervous performing in front of others. Together, we practice strategies to remain calm under pressure and to transform nerves into expressive energy on stage.
I guide students in audition preparation, helping them not only master the song but also connect emotionally with the piece. Song interpretation plays a key role, as I encourage learners to tell a story through their performance and make the music truly their own. Personal expression is nurtured in every lesson, so students grow into performers who are authentic and engaging.
I provide a welcoming space for adults who are starting their musical journey later in life, ensuring they never feel behind but rather empowered. For those who sing in choirs or ensembles, I emphasize listening skills, blending, and harmony work, so they feel confident contributing to a group sound. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s goals, whether that’s singing solo, performing in a community, or preparing for a special event.
Above all, my method is supportive and practical, balancing vocal exercises with real-world applications. With patience, encouragement, and a clear path forward, I help singers not just improve, but truly enjoy the journey of making music.
