About the lesson

My supportive approach aims to build your confidence with science. I offer excellent subject knowledge in KS3 and GCSE/iGCSE chemistry, physics and biology. In A-Level or IB chemistry, I can steadily build your knowledge and understanding up by offering clear explanations of the intricacies of chemistry combined with a questioning approach to problem-solving. My adaptive approach will support your progressively independent learning. I'm easy to get along with and have a great sense of humour. "Just to let you know, [our daughter] smashed her maths with a 7 and combined science grades of 7/6!!! Thank you so much, she couldn’t have achieved this without you - the first thing she said was Andy's tutoring did this with me!!" Perfect! Andy really helped my son to understand the principles of GCSE organic chemistry. He was very good at explaining the different concepts. strong at balancing equations and physical properties of hydrocarbons. Has missed areas on alkenes and polymerisations. Needs more practice on structures and the 2D geometry of organic molecules
