About Teo

I’m a singing tutor with over 10 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Musical Theatre Voice, and I love helping students discover the power and beauty of their own voice. Over the years, I’ve taught learners at every stage—school students taking their first steps, college singers refining their skills, and adults and professionals seeking to elevate their artistry. My lessons are fully personalized, meeting each student where they are and guiding them toward their musical goals with care and clarity. I specialize in a variety of styles, including classical, pop, movie, and folk singing, so students can explore the genres that inspire them most. Along the way, we dive into ear training, harmony, and music theory to build strong foundations that support confident singing. I also weave in improvisation to spark creativity and help students discover new ways to express themselves. Building vocal confidence is at the heart of my teaching. I believe every voice is unique, and I nurture that individuality with safe, healthy vocal techniques that protect and strengthen the instrument over time. Lessons are interactive and supportive, creating a space where students can experiment, make mistakes, and grow without pressure. Above all, I want singing to feel like a joyful and inspiring part of each student’s life. Together, we’ll explore music, unlock your potential, and shape your voice into something that truly reflects you. About the lesson

My singing methodology is designed to help every student uncover their unique vocal identity while growing creatively and confidently. We start by shaping vocal tone through targeted warm-ups and exercises, giving the voice both strength and flexibility. Song interpretation becomes a central part of the process, where we dive into what a song truly means and how to express that meaning with authenticity.

For some learners, it’s about finding freedom in their voice for the very first time. For others, it’s about refining and expanding what they can already do. Genre exploration plays a big role—we might step from jazz to pop, or from folk to R\&B, showing how each style unlocks different colors and textures in the voice. Improvisation is encouraged too, not just as a performance skill but as a way to discover new possibilities and gain confidence in musical risk-taking.

To make this growth tangible, I use tools like lyric analysis sheets to break songs apart, vocal journals to track discoveries, and DAWs to record and reflect on progress. Melody trainers are introduced to strengthen pitch control and expand creative phrasing. Each of these tools helps students see their progress clearly and feel empowered by it.

Every session balances structure with creativity, ensuring technique builds alongside artistic expression. My goal is for students to not only sing better, but to *feel* music more deeply and tell stories that connect with listeners. Together, we’ll explore, create, and bring their most authentic voice to life.
