About Karen

I regularly work in schools. I am currently working with the Academic Institute of Toulouse and the League of Education on an innovative programme for teaching english to children. I am also engaged in training primary school teachers to help them to teach English to children up to CM2. My background is in linguistics and I have a degree in linguistics, french syntax and grammar. I have a good knowledge of the phonetics of French and English. After my degree, I studied for the Cambridge University qualification of Teaching English as a Foreign Language, which I passed with an A grade. In addition to French and English, I have learned a number of foreign languages including Norwegian, Spanish and Japanese, which has enabled me to understand and study the acquisition of a second language in detail. I use all these experiences to give English classes to my students and to facilitate the process of learning.

About the lesson

I am a dynamic and experienced teacher. I have developed an innovative approach to teaching english. I give classes for children, teens (including support for the Bac European) and adults. I have helped students prepare for the TOEIC exam with good results. I am approved to give professional courses (which can be reimbursed by your OPCA under the old DIF / new CPF programme.) Above all, I try to make learning fun. I also offer French lessons . I have a club for children where we learn english and have fun at the same time - Saturday mornings and Wednesday mornings in Cahors.

Fee Guide: Individual lessons: 25 Euro / hour
Group lessons (2 to 4 participants): 12 Euro / hour
Group lessons (4 to 6 children): 9 Euro / h - Saturday afternoons only 1400 to 1600
