Perfect! I have found Liam to be an incredible teacher. He is not only knowledgeable and passionate about his teaching, he is also patient, empathetic, motivating, encouraging and practises what he teaches. He has excellent communication skills, is keenly observant and adapts his teaching to my level/needs. His lessons are fascinating, fun and enlightening.

At the ripe old age of nearly 70 (in a few months time), I decided to take elocution lessons. Fyi - I had always hated leaving voicemails and cringe if I hear my voice on record. I really feel for those who had to listen to me. So I feel extremely blessed because discovering Liam is like discovering a heaven sent a voice doctor. He helps me identify the underlying problems I have with speech and works with me to address them. For instance, he has shown me breathing techniques and exercises that address the excessive tension in my neck muscles and vocal cords that occur whenever I speak, as well as address other issues that I have with speech. It's such a bonus because the breathing exercises alone is like practising Qigong. Seriously, who knew that his teaching also improves my overall health. But that's just a start. I'm learning so many things that not only help me with my speech and improve my health but they also broaden my view on learning. It goes to show, it's never too late to learn. And Liam is a great teacher to learn from.

Perfect! Having always wanted to take elocution lessons, I decided to bite the bullet and book and introductory lesson with Liam. It did not take long before the two of us clicked. Liam is an ethusiastic and positive person; his energy is inspiring and contagious.
Liam takes care of all the different aspects involved in communicating efficiently; that being said, he listens carefully to the student's needs (e.g. specific sounds that one wants to improve, etc.) and, therefore, his approach is dynamic as well as begin structured. He is always on time and teaches in a quiet room. Due to his fine ear, Liam is capable of spotting sounds that are not correct or ''quite there yet''. His attention to details and encouragement of being self-aware has an impact on a student's everyday life. My awareness to the sounds that I make whilst speaking has improved and, hopefully, so has my voice thanks to Liam!
There is always time for a little joke and the lessons are extremely easy and fun to attend. The energy ''in the classroom'' is relaxed, playful and judgment free; making funny faces or noises is sometimes necessary and it does not feel weird or uncomfortable as Liam does not shy away from doing them with the student.
I strongly suggest having a think about your expectations because nothing massive can change overnight. I also recommend having fun and enjoy the whole process of learning a new skill, and I recommend doing it with Liam's help!

Perfect! I cannot recommend enough Liam – my marvellous elocution tutor! I’ve given him quite a challenge and I thought once he hears my awful Bulgarian accent he would give up tutoring me, but obviously, it didn’t seem to faze him at all. He put his heart into his work and the amazing results came after our second class when I noticed a big difference in the way I started speaking. The people around me noticed it and that only made me more motivated and excited! Very few tutors can achieve that!

Liam is very patient and yet extremely strict in the best sense of the word. He would spot even the minutest errors; would stop me there and amend me, and then he would explain to me and show me how to articulate properly! All this is done in a very delicate manner, so I don’t feel discouraged or offended, and yet the job is done and the lesson is learned.

Since Liam is a very talented actor he would “impersonate” me brilliantly well and this is something which helped me a lot in my journey. This way I could see and hear myself and realise what I was doing wrong. In addition, Liam is the only person who was able to make me do some workouts! Yes, it was all about my voice but now I started doing physical exercises every morning and my whole body has benefited from this!

Liam has a very easy-going personality and I feel comfortable in his presence, even when we are doing warm-up exercises which are not very lady-like nor are they very flattering. Only in front of him I can pull faces, poke my tongue and do the other “silly” (but useful) things. Everything seems easy when Liam is around and this adds up to my motivation and overall results!
And here we are, after a few sessions with Liam I can honestly say that I am a much more confident speaker! I have a lot of work to do, but if it wasn’t for Liam, I wouldn’t be here! I am so happy and grateful to Liam and I wish I would be able to pay him back by making him extremely proud of his student Danni H.
