About Karine

I am a native French speaker and currently teach and lead French in a primary school in Essex. I have been teaching French privately to adult and student on a regular basis from primary to secondary school and A-level student for over 20 years. I am experienced and in line with the current curriculum from primary to secondary and beyond. I also run my own business in Modern Foreign Languages offering workshop and training in French language for schools and other establishments.

About the lesson

I work closely with my student to understand their needs, my lessons are well organised and structured. I use a lot of my own resources to achieve the best results and have regular assessment so my student can see what they have learnt. I cover grammar, conversation and translation.

Perfect! Karine was the kindest and sweetest tutor we ever had! Also very responsible person and communication was superb. It was only a short time to a tutoring from her but she really helped my daughter a lot with her A-level french.

Excellent! The lessons with Karine did not work out but only because of considerable opposition from my wife about almost anything French. I have in fact continued to read widely in French and listen to French radio. I have been doing 2-3 hours a day and my French has become very
good indeed. The only lesson I had with Karine was very good indeed. I regret very much that this did not work out with no blame whatsoever as far as Karine is concerned.

Perfect! Karine is a great tutor. She puts considerable thought into her lessons and is very well prepared for each class with exercises and source materials. She is encouraging, patient and reliable and her lessons are varied and very enjoyable. Karine really tries to understand the objectives of each student – whether that be to learn the language to pass an exam or to go on holiday in France. She enriches the lesson with a great depth and breadth of cultural knowledge and litters her sentences with idioms to help more advanced students progress in their learning. I can not recommend her tuition enough.
