Baseline assessments are conducted to establish a student's level of proficiency and lessons are then adapted to address gaps. Practice exercises are provided to aid the evaluation and monitoring process. My classes are highly interactive and entertaining and I devote ample time to questioning. I believe that a relationship of trust between student and teacher forms the basis of the student's level of commitment and determination to improve his/her English.

After over 25 years, I still remember her as a passionate, fun, caring and inspirational teacher. One of my favourite teachers throughout my schooling.
Best English teacher I had. 1997-2001. Made it simple to understand.
I was privileged to have been in Christine’s English class in secondary school. Her intellect, energy and attention to her pupils encouraged me to want to excel in her class and utilise the tools I was given to explore and experience English.
Christine changed my life and my view of who I was capable of becoming... she nurtured my confidence, supported my humour and curiosity in the world. Took time, and listened. Can she teach? Yeah! But what you get in this agent is more than teaching, it’s an investment in people.
Christine was my English teacher in high school. I came to South Africa as an immigrant not speaking English a year prior to high school. I obtained university entry, a Bachelor's degree and superior PTE score, thanks to her effort, understanding and dedication.
Christine is one of those teachers you never forget. Her dedication and personality made her a favourite among students. She would be an asset in any organisation.
When you are 45 and still remember a certain teacher you know she has to be amazing.
Christine knows her subject, but above all has a unique way of keeping students interested in what she is teaching. To top it all she is an excellent organiser.
I have worked with Christine as a school based teacher as well as a programme manager for preparing Grade 10 to 12 students to better prepare for English exams for twenty years. She passionately and creatively creates programmes to assist students. Her work ethic is unquestionable. She, futhermore, has the ablity to work with both top achievers and students who are struggling with English because it is not their first language.
Christine was the most passionate teacher I had during my secondary school years. Her vibrancy, enthusiasm and genuine love for her work was infectious within the classroom. We not only studied English in fun and innovative ways - we learned to love it as much as she does. Christine is a truly gifted teacher and I am honoured to have been part of her class. I feel that any future student of hers will benefit greatly from her incredible knowledge, dynamic teaching style and charming disposition as much as I did.
Highly recommended, super knowledgable and makes learning fun. A truly inspiring individual with a natural teaching ability, always eager to fill inquiring minds with all aspects of her chosen subject. This teacher was one of the greatest influencers of my life path, simply because she believed in me and pushed me that little harder to deliver my best.
I totally loved her teaching! She was fair, dedicated and passionate about English. She taught me to love grammar and the accuracy of language. I still remember her principles related to minute-taking and accurate punctuation. I have so many happy memories: we laughed in her class. She had a good balance between fun and active engagement of students. Being a co-ed commercial, technical and academic school, with a range of competencies and hugely diverse group of students, she had a brilliant ability to challenge top students as well as support those who struggled. She was caring, empathetic and encouraging. She noticed talent and affirmed it. She was kind and loyal to her colleagues. She had the ability to teach us a concept, reinforce it and then follow up with good assessment. I never felt as if she had 'favourites', like some of the other teachers - she engaged happily with a broad spectrum of children - even the very difficult 'technical' boys. I loved the whimsical, creative, free-spirited 'singer' part of her too - it was inspirational - as were the unusual and 'arty' posters on her classroom walls. Working under her guidance on committees and other extra-mural activities was wonderful: certainly some of the best memories of my school life. Thank you - a lot of who I aspired to become as a teacher, writer and singer, traces some of its roots back to her teaching. 100% endorsement from me.
I consider it my great fortune to have had Christine as my high school English teacher. Christine is the kind of teacher your whole being whispers "Yes!" as you enter her classroom.
It is rare to find a teacher so adept at teaching language as Christine. Her lessons were masterfully prepared and taught with encouraging clarity so that they worked effortlessly on me long after class ended. As a result, language became this ambient immensity that her teaching gave me enough of what I needed to trigger my own way towards it, feeling my own humanity mature in the process.
But her most remarkable quality is that she knows how to reach her students - often in such a way that I left her lessons deeply affected. Simply put, her teaching made my own unique sensitivity worthy.Christine is the type of teacher that makes a lasting and unwavering impression on her students. You will not find a more passionate, knowledgeable or dedicated teacher. She treats her students like equals, and constantly pushes each one to be a better version of themselves. Highly highly highly recommended !
You touch lives in so many ways. God have made you a very special person. Students love the way you love and push them to new heights... A blessing to all always. Christine you are indeed worthy of the name teacher.xx
Christine taught me English in Grade 11 & 12. In those days we either had subjects on higher grade or standard grade. I was on standard grade for English When I reached Matric I did my final speech on WWII. Christine was adamant that I should move to higher grade. I was doubtful but she eventually convinced me. Please take note that this change happened right before matric finals. When I received my final results back I had achieved a high C on higher grade English. I had NEVER written any exam papers or been marked on higher grade before my finals. I achieved this mark because Christine believed in me and pushed me to do the best that I could, she was the best English teacher ever! I will never forget her nor how she helped me to achieve a goal I never thought possible! This year marks my 20th year out of school. I was a matric of 2000 and I STILL believe that one can never go wrong with the right backing and support. Christine will be the best support one could ever hope for. She is hard but fair! Thank you Christine!
Christine taught me English in secondary school. She is one very passionate individual who is really good at getting students engaged to learn. Her energy, knowledge and vibrant personality made her stand out from the rest. In my opinion, anyone having the privilege of learning from and with her will always look back and be thankful. Twenty years ago you were one of my favourite tutors, with being so passionate and dynamic, what you could offer now would just be unimaginable!
Three qualities have helped me to navigate a successful career in the television business: 1) abiding respect for language; 2) a deep love of storytelling and; 3) sincere curiosity about the human condition. As my favourite teacher at school and long-time friend thereafter, Christine has been instrumental in the development of all three. She is professional, patient, invested and inspiring. I recommend her without hesitation.
Christine is an excellent educator that is dedicated to her work. Precise, confident and nurturing. She was the HOD at a school that I went to and produced quality learners, fluent and articulate.
Christine is very professional with extensive knowledge and vast experience in English. She is also nurturing which allows her to reach her students on a holistic level. Her results have always been outstanding.
Christine was my Matric English teacher in 1995.
She was an absolutely outstanding teacher who worked hard alongside her students to reach their individual potential, and in my case, enabling me to pass English with a distinction.
She encourages critical thinking and creative ways of solving problems and I wouldn't think twice about recommending her as a tutor.
I met Christine when she was teaching at Athlone Boy's High Bezuidenhout Valley, Johannesburg in the 1980's. She is an excellent teacher, she has a love and great knowledge of the English language and literature. Teaching comes naturally for her and she will be a great tutor. I truly recommend her.
Christine Wolmarans was my mentor in high school. I became a teacher in part because of her passion and her love for teaching English, and she continued mentoring me as a first-year teacher, when I was sopping wet behind the ears and so very young. I was lucky enough to be able to 'pay it forward' and help other learners the way she helped me, and I'm so glad I chose to follow in her footsteps. I can wholeheartedly congratulate anyone who is fortunate enough to have her as a guide, a teacher, and a role model.
My English improved under her tutelage. At the beginning of my Matric year I was sitting on a D. We were told our marks would probably lower in Matric. Instead thanks to her guidance and passion for the language, I received a C, the highest mark I had received in my high school career for English. She exposed my writing weaknesses that I was not even aware of and I still double and triple check my writing with those weaknesses in mind. She brought the language to life!
Christine has a deep understanding of her subject and adds value to any classroom and body of staff. Lucky enough to have her as a teacher. She is methodical and kind and has so much patience to ensure excellent results in her students' qualifications.
I am 36. To this day, I sometimes think "I wish my high school English teacher was around so I could ask her more questions". Christine leaves ever lasting memories and impressions with any student she has ever taught!
I have known Christine for more than 30 years, she has dedicated her whole life to teaching in all environments of society. Her passion for teaching and compassion for people makes her an excellent tutor.
Christine is an absolutely selfless individual built with strong moral virtue. Coupled with the many years of teaching experience in varied positions.
There is not much this wonderful person is unable to teach and not only in a classroom environment but life experience too.Highly intelligent with excellent interpersonal skills and integrity. I'll recommend her any time for primary or advanced training which she is qualified for.
Christine is a very passionate woman, this shows through her teaching. Christine can see potential in a person and never gives up until that full potential in a person is reached. We had the privilege of having Christine as our HOD for 5 years in high school.
