You can take a lesson once or twice a month if that suits you, and with voice coaches on online platforms you can easily find someone that also suits your schedule and budget.

Lessons from a professional vocal coach will expose you to singing techniques to improve your singing voice without all the effort and guess-work you'd have to do if you go at it on your own. They will teach you some voice training exercises and tips that will keep you busy for weeks as you continue work only on the songs you love.

Singing for fun also means you can take your time to explore different music genres and performers. With YouTube and many online resources you can even research how different artists choose to perform the same song. You can download backing tracks to your favourite songs and start creating your own unique version of a well-known song.

This discovery of your voice and music might awaken a more eager side in you and you might even be motivated to delve deeper into the music world. People have created a great deal of content and books around music theory and how to read music, but this is something that professional voice coaches are very familiar with and are able to assist you with.
