Welcome to 'Mass Effect 2!'

This is a game where you can get credits by hacking. It is somewhat of a mini-game that expects you to find matching codes. Well, in this particular game if players fail to hack at any point in time during the mini-game, they will basically be unable to get any credits.

So how many tries at hacking do you have in the mini-game?

You have three chances to match the lines of colourful code, but the difficulty comes into place as the rules are not all too clear.

Therefore, if you are able to hack in the mini-game, you may gain an unfair advantage over other players who are unable to hack.  If you really think about it hacking in a game, is almost like cheating. If the number of hacking games is anything to go by, cheating in the gaming industry is becoming very prevalent indeed.

What is it that makes Mass Effect's hacking different from the hacking in other video games?

Well, we know that all video games are hackable, yet players are never openly encouraged to hack a game. With Mass Effect, hackers are encouraged and given incentives should they be able to hack. In other games, players who succeed in hacking will often bear the hideous label of being, "a cheater,". However, players who successfully hack in Mass Effect are applauded.

Whether you consider yourself to be a cheater or not, you need to know a thing or two about hacking mini-games in order to level up your playing skills and advance in the game as well.

You might not enjoy hacking but to avoid being laughed at in a hacking mini-game, you need to make sure that you do hack.

All About Video Game Hacking

If you haven't played Mass Effect, you may be wondering how to initiate the hacking in the mini-game. Again, this will depend on which version of the game you're playing — PC or console — or I, II, or another edition.

In every version of the game, the initiation of the hacking mini-game will be different.

If you're playing Mass Effect on an X-Box or PlayStation, you'll probably feel like you're stuck in a game of Simon Says. However, all you need to do is press your controller buttons in the sequence shown on-screen and voila!

Are you ready to start hacking in games like Mass Effect?

Mass Effect II Hacking

Every version of Mass Effect is different to the others. In the Mass Effect II edition of the game, Shepard can bypass and hack regardless of chosen squad mates. There are several aspects and areas of this game that remain hidden behind such challenges, however, it's good to know that overcoming them isn't dependent on characters' levels.

The main possible distinction between the original Mass Effect and this version is that the remainder of the game doesn't freeze as you work your way through the bypass or hack.

If you are considering actually hacking and not bypassing this step,  you will notice the time remaining indicator. That number represents the number of credits you'll receive for your efforts.

In Mass Effect II, game developers have made things much easier. In this version, the Shepard has the power to hack from Game II. If you are still trying to grapple with what hacking is, consider reading the article on real word hacking.

You must note that hacking in the gaming world is very different to hacking in the real world. Game hackers are not at all as vindictive as real-world black hat hackers who deliberately hack with the intention of gaining information not meant for them.

Game Hacker Tools

If you are considering the harmless kind of hacking where you hack a game to gain an unfair advantage over other players, you may need to consider certain tools and applications for hacking. Again, be wary of the types of apps and tools that you download. Sometimes you get the hacking tools that you expected; however, advertisers forget to disclose that installing an app or tool can give you access to your device which they can exploit for their own benefit.

There are some trustworthy hacking tools that you can lean on in order to step up your game.

Xmodgames is one of the top-rated apps for Androids that can help you with hacking games such as Pokemon Go, Clash of Clans, and Minecraft. The thing about Xmodgames is that it offers a user-friendly interface.

Lucky Patcher is an app that is not at all limited to Android devices. You can use Lucky Patcher to remove ads, change the memory of a game, as well as remove license verification. If you are finding a way to hack in-app purchases, this surely is the app that you can use to do so.

Along with Lucky Patcher, Creehack is another Android app and gamer hacking tool that is particularly fascinating if you are a hacking fanatic. With this app, you are awarded unlimited gold coins, and points. If you are looking to bypass the editor's security, this surely is the application for you.

While you may be itching to get the gamer's advantage and use one of these apps, you need to remember that getting your way in a game without paying for it is also illegal.

Would you be in the same league as the hackers who choose to hack financial institutions if you purchase an application that allows you to hack a game in such a way that you bypass all the payments?

You may see hacking in games as being harmless but surely this is not at all the case, especially when you are not paying for in-app purchases that a game designer worked so hard to create.

Mass Effect Gameplay

Mass Effect is so popular simply because it is a science fiction game that is jam-packed with action. BioWare are the developers of the game who focused on creating a game whereby there is a character who battles dangerous aliens. Alongside the alien battles, the overall tone of this game is horror.

If you are looking for a more modern version of the game, Andromeda has a great game play and a bumpy start. Yet, you need to play the first Mass Effect first so that you learn all about the franchise.

If you are not interested in a science fiction game like Mass Effect, you may enjoy playing a game that allows you to learn. Minecraft is one such game that allows you to learn while you play.

If you would like to learn how to code while playing a game, you will be much better off playing a game like CodeMonkey or even using Scratch to create your own game.

Game Hacking Versus Real-life Hacking

For all gamers involved in playing any Mass Effect edition, you will realise that hacking is essential. This is merely a game though. Real-life hacking is far more malicious and has rather severe consequences. People who chose to hack in the real world are serious computer programmers who are able to hack particularly due to their insane coding skills.

Just like hacking in Mass Effect allows you to gain power and lay claims to rewards that would otherwise not be yours, real-world hacking offers the same benefit.

Truth be told, while the meaning of hacking is similar in the gaming world and in real life, to be a hacker in a game, you do not need to have extensive programming knowledge.

You do need to ensure that hacking in a game does not incite you to want to hack in real life. If you consider the number of cyberattacks of late, you will note that hacking in real life is quite a serious issue and one that should not be taken lightly at all.

We are not at all saying stop playing games as it may cause you to want to become a hacker to make a living, but we are saying focus on the less harmful means of obtaining power as you play.

You can very well pursue a career where you become an ethical hacker and enjoy every moment of fighting for a cause you believe in. Or you could very well learn how to code so that you will be able to create an awesome game that other people are keen on hacking.
