We are born in relationship, we are wounded in relationship, and we can be healed in relationship.

Harville Hendrix

The way we connect with others often follows patterns we may not even realise. These patterns, known as attachment styles, shape how we form bonds, handle conflict, and experience closeness in relationships. Whether secure or more complex, understanding your style can offer powerful insight into your emotional world and how you relate to those around you.

Curious about your own patterns? This attachment styles test will help you explore your tendencies in a simple and engaging way. Take a moment to reflect, answer honestly, and discover what your connection style might reveal.

Understanding the Different Ways we Connect

There are several recognised patterns, often referred to as the different attachment styles, including secure, anxious, dismissive avoidant, and fearful avoidant.

Each attachment style reflects how we respond to closeness, trust, and emotional needs. These, usually shaped early in life and often reinforced by adult relationships, can evolve with awareness and effort.

By learning more about your tendencies, you can begin to understand your reactions in relationships. For example, why you may seek reassurance, pull away, or experience balance and inner security as your default.

This awareness creates space for growth, healthier communication, and more fulfilling connections. Exploring these patterns is not about labeling yourself, or others, but about gaining clarity and insight into how you connect with others.
