My teaching level would be before GCSE and A-level. But I am happy to advise anyone on a range of topics. My teaching technique varies based on the student as everyone learns differently, if you know you have a preferred way of learning please let me know! Short bursts of information have been said to be the best method of teaching as the brain finds it easier to retain the information, therefore my maximum amount of lesson time will be 1 hour. Furthermore, visual aids are a popular teaching method, for example, power-points and videos engage students and thus I will use a fair number when I can.
I've previously taught students at secondary school and would love to do it again. I'm currently studying Human Geography and Sociology at the University of Worcester and have qualifications of a GCSE and A-level standard. Geography and Sociology are my two main subjects, however I can help with other topics such as: History, Philosophy and music. I simply adore helping others and believe knowledge is powerful and should be shared with everyone.
I don't necessarily think grades determine how good you are at a particular subject, but mine are detailed below for the purpose of this application.
-10 GCSE grades A-C (Geography, History, Philosophy and Ethics, English literature and Language, Music, Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Physics)
-4 A-level grades B-D (Geography, History, Sociology, Philosophy)
I have previously had work experience within a museum near my local area and read the Guardian (specifically the Climate Change and Science sections)
Currently studying for a BA(hons) in Human Geography and Sociology
