About Gabriella
I studied English up to A level at school, looking at Macbeth, A Christmas Carol, An Inspector Calls, and the War and Power poetry anthology at GCSE. I got 9s in both English Literature and English language, scoring 158/160 in my English Literature exams. I'm very familiar with these texts and would be happy to tutor on them, as well as the others on the syllabus.
I did the OCR course for A level, achieving an A grade. The texts I studied were The Handmaid's Tale, A Clockwork Orange, the poetry of Christina Rossetti, A Doll's House, and The Tempest, but am happy to work on some of the other texts on offer. I particularly enjoyed my time as an A level English student and having the freedom to dissect what I found most interesting about these texts, and would like to help someone else find that same excitement.
As a languages student atUniversity, I feel that I would be able to help particularly with the languages side of these courses, able to now pick apart a text in more than one language.

I always loved English at school and would be happy to work on both the GCSE and A levels courses, whether it be on the language or literature side of the course.
These lessons could be discussion of the themes of a text and tackling essay questions surrounding it, or looking at unseen passages and how you might comment on them.
I'mincredibly flexible as the courses on offer are so varied, and want to work on what is the most productive use of time!
