My teaching method is learn by play and to make it fun and exciting for the smaller children, especially ages 2 to 10. More advanced learners are more formal in a classroom with a board and proper explanations. I base my classes on the abilities of my students. I do not place children in a box like in mainstream schooling, however, I push them in a loving way to go beyond what they think they can do. For example, one of my students has been reading since she was 4 years old and the other is currently doing university mathematics and chemistry at the age of 14. They don't even realize they are doing it because they aren't placed in a specific age group. Approaching a topic: I am very good at "winging it". Should a topic come up, my mind thinks fast in order to approach it in a way the student will understand and beyond. I don't do well with planning a lesson though but I have a lot of course books and material to work off of. Tutoring from home suites me more than tutoring online as I work in conjunction with their schools and/or parents to know where the student is battling and I go from there.
I am a Certified TEFL instructor. I received my TEFL qualification through University of Toronto which is based in Ontario Canada. I completed the 120 hour which includes the 100 hour TEFL module, 10 hour Digital Technology in the Classroom and 10 hour in Teaching Business English. My average pass mark of my final assessment of the TEFL is 94%, 100% for the Digital Technology in the Classroom and 77% for Teaching Business English.
