About Serenity
My passion for Spanish emerged through early exposure to language and Hispanic culture, inspiring me to pursue a B.A in Spanish Studies and an M.A in Hispanic Cultural Studies. Over 8 years, I have taught students of all ages and backgrounds, focusing on fluency, comprehension, and cultural understanding in a supportive, interactive setting.
I prioritise student-centred instruction, combining grammar, conversation, reading, writing, and cultural immersion. Lessons are tailored, engaging, and designed to encourage curiosity, confidence, and expressive communication. I support learners in mastering practical skills while nurturing appreciation for language and culture.
Outside the classroom, I explore literature, travel, media, and contemporary cultural developments to enrich lessons with real-world context. Witnessing students grow from hesitant speakers to confident, culturally-aware communicators is deeply rewarding. Supporting their language acquisition, communication skills, and cultural understanding remains the most fulfilling part of my work.
