I'm a a passionate English and Spanish teacher with over 9 years of experience. I have a Bachelor's degree in Education with an emphasis on Foreign Languages Teaching, a Master's degree in Education with an emphasis on Spanish teaching and I'm a Doctorate student in Education with emphasis on special needs students, language center administration and Spanish.
Dedicated to connecting with and inspiring each individual student to reach their potential and become a life-long learner. Experienced in working with children, adolescents, adults, and students with special needs in a wide range of teaching environments.
I think humor is one of the best ways to learn a language and that's why I encourage my students to learn how to joke with the language, in the sense that they understand what is correct and what is not, but still can have fun with it.
I already mentioned my experience level and students I have taught, but what I haven't said is that all of my students learned to be autonomous outside my classroom, and came back to me only to confirm knowledge, not to learn from scratch. I believe that when the student can detach himself from the teacher, is when he really understands the language well enough as to be able to keep teaching himself. The rest is practice.
It only changes if there is more than one student per lesson.
I have a bachelor's degree, a Master's degree and I'm a P.Hd student.
I have been granted Merit scholarships for both my Master's and my Doctorate. I was granted the University Scholarship for Top Entrance Exam Scores, and University Scholarship for Excellence in Teaching (when I was doing my practicum).
I have worked with all levels of both languages, and with children, adolescents and adults. I have 4 years of experience working with foreigners who wanted to learn both Spanish and English.
