My teaching method is simple: context. Many people struggle to grasp ideas or learn skills because they have not been told or taught how it applies to them in their daily life.
I like to give examples of how each and every project we build or problem we solve can be applied in my students' lives.
I give tasks for my and I to work through together and tasks they should easily be able to complete on their own until our next session.
I am a software engineer and tech startup co-founder based in Cape Town. In 2018, I started tutoring maths to high school students on Saturdays. Now I also teach code workshops to primarily women in the Cape Town area.
Many of the students I have taught or tutoring from high school are now actively seeking careers in the tech space. I particularly love mentoring women on how to navigate the space and building confidence in their skills.
