About Fiona
My goal as a tutor is to help students understand the why behind each method, not just the steps. I place strong emphasis on problem-solving, visual models, and clear thinking, especially for word problems. When students understand how to think, they become more confident, independent, and less afraid of challenging questions. I enjoy teaching because I get to see students move from confusion to clarity. Watching a student explain their own solution clearly, without prompting, is the most rewarding part of teaching for me. Progress is built steadily, with structure, patience, and consistent guidance.
