About Hamza
Teaching has always been my thing. I love breaking tricky topics down, seeing that aha! moment, and helping students realise they’re far more capable than they think There’s something really rewarding about watching confidence grow alongside grades.
Alongside tutoring, I work in tech at a software firm, which means I’m naturally organised, analytical and great at explaining complex ideas in a clear, logical way I bring that same mindset into teaching, keeping things structured but always friendly and approachable.
Over the years, I’ve taught students of all abilities and personalities — from those who feel nervous or frustrated with school, to high-achievers aiming for top grades. That experience has made me patient, encouraging and big on creating a positive, supportive learning environment
Tutoring isn’t just something I do on the side. It’s something I’ve chosen to stick with for over a decade because I genuinely enjoy helping students succeed and feel good about their learning

I’m Hamza, a Queen Mary Economics graduate with over 10 years of tutoring experience, teaching GCSE Maths and Science to students of all abilities.
How I teach
My lessons are calm, supportive and confidence-building. I break topics down into simple steps, explain things in different ways until they click, and make sure students feel comfortable asking questions. No pressure, no judgement.
Exam & past-paper focus
Alongside understanding the content, I place strong emphasis on GCSE past papers. We practise real exam questions regularly, learn how marks are awarded, and work on exam technique so students know exactly how to approach questions on the day.
Lesson structure
Lessons are typically 60 minutes, combining clear explanations, guided practice, past-paper questions and targeted feedback. My corporate background means sessions are organised, focused and productive, while still feeling friendly and relaxed.
Who my lessons are for
I teach GCSE students aged 13–16, from those needing extra support to high-achievers aiming for top grades. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s level, pace and goals.
