About Anton
I am a qualified geochemist that specialised in mathematical modeling of complex igneous petrochemical systems. I hold an honours degree in Earth Science and have experience teaching students up to first year level, which includes working as a teacher at a high school for 2 years.

I believe that experiential, inquiry-based education is the key to success for high school learners. As a teacher, I hope to motivate young people in ascertaining their inner strengths and abilities and discovering what truly inspires them. I aim to provide a stimulating learning environment that encourages students to trust their own opinions, while fostering confidence in order for students to realise their full potential.
As a teacher, I am committed to doing anything I can help my students learn and achieve their goals. I will work hard to come up with creative lessons that will help every student better retain subject matter. To this end, I incorporate participatory activities, multimedia and technology, guided practice, problem-based learning and real-world applications to help students make progress and build their skills. Through my teaching experience thus far, I have found that facilitating rather than dictating is a highly beneficial style of teaching. I have learned that if students construct their own learning experiences, they will not only retain information longer, but they will also become more confident in their abilities.
