About Payal
Math and physics were the foundations of my studies as a mechanical engineering student at Caltech. However, I also understand that these subjects can be daunting. With the help of tutors, I gained the knowledge and confidence to also become a teaching assistant at Caltech and tutor students in various engineering classes. Now, as a Caltech graduate, I want to help build your confidence in these subjects so that you can achieve whatever goals you have set for yourself!

If you are a high school or middle school student looking for help in math and/or physics, I'm here to help! As an engineering graduate with experience as a teaching assistant for several college classes, I have experience teaching complex concepts to students. Moreover, for those interested in pursuing engineering at a higher level, I can provide my insight into how the concepts you're learning relate to what you may be passionate about!
My teaching method rests largely on breaking down concepts into simpler concepts and presenting them visually. I would start lessons with a recap of the previous session so that knowledge is retained. Then, after presenting the topics that the lesson covers, I would go through tiered examples (easy, medium, hard) to ensure the student has greater exposure to the concepts/problems. Of course, I want the lesson to be interactive, so if the student has something they want to do in mind, I'm open to being flexible about the lesson plan!
