About Sumati
I have over 20 years of experience teaching Mathematics to students from Class 5 to Class 9, working with learners from varied academic backgrounds and ability levels. Over the years, I have helped many students who struggled with math improve their understanding, confidence, and academic performance.

My teaching methodology is foundation-oriented and student-centric. I begin by assessing each student’s current level to identify gaps in basic concepts. Once the fundamentals are strengthened, I gradually move to grade-level and advanced topics. I focus on step-by-step explanation, regular practice, and continuous revision, ensuring that students not only solve problems but also understand the logic behind them. I adapt my pace and approach based on each student’s learning style.
I emphasise concept clarity, problem-solving skills, and exam readiness, using real-life examples where possible to make learning more relatable. Regular tests, doubt-clearing sessions, and personalised feedback are integral parts of my teaching process, which has consistently resulted in remarkable improvement and better academic results for my students.
My subject expertise includes arithmetic, algebra, geometry, mensuration, and basic statistics, aligned with school curricula for Classes 5 to 9. Along with academic teaching, I also work on building students’ confidence, discipline, and a positive attitude towards mathematics.
While I may not hold formal teaching certifications, my two decades of hands-on teaching experience, proven results, and long-term student retention reflect my effectiveness as an educator. I continuously update my teaching methods to match changing curricula and student needs.
