My teaching methods are direct and entirely student-based, concentrating on your/your child's curriculum, with a focus on practical application and an emphasis on active recall (the finest method - scientifically - of studying and applying information). I provide the tools to unlock and nurture long-lasting English excellence, not provide a quick "band-aid" fix. My teaching repertoire covers the whole of high school and most of university-level English.
Two things have been embedded in my character since birth: a passion for literature and a desire to perform. Thus, I pushed myself to achieve in both English and the oratorical arts, and consequently was the top achiever in English for my entire high-school career, captained the debate team and was the first student to achieve honors for drama in under two years. Ergo, I steered our dramatical faculty to first place in FEDA and much Eisteddfod acclaim and became head of debating and public speaking (I trained individuals and reviewed speeches to maximize the competitiveness of our teams) and guided the school to many wins. I am passionate about encouraging the discovery of interior and public confidence that English affords to those who can unlock it within themselves. I also understand that English can be daunting and over-complicated (often due to outdated teaching methods and the unnecessarily convoluted perspectives and procedures propagated by many institutions), and thus I work to provide a focused insight into the subject that cuts through the unwanted excess.
