About JJ
Guitarist, J.J. Pattishall (also working under the moniker, Lupo Marino), holds a BA in Music from Rollins College and specializes in jazz, Latin, funk, world music, Afro-Caribbean, and American Roots styles. With twenty years experience as an educator, music producer, and cultural worker, he integrates his diverse skills to create an enriching learning environment. Fluent in Spanish and Italian, J.J. uses music as a tool for community building and intercultural communication, and fosters connections and cultural understanding through every lesson. His musical influences range from Grant Green to Bob Marley, Seu Jorge to Marc Ribot, Jorge Drexler to The Clash, Hermanos Gutierrez to Gary Clark, Jr. Whether you're a beginner or advanced player, you'll gain not just musical skills but also a deeper appreciation for the cultural richness music brings.
