About Reyna

Hello My Future Students,

My name is Reyna, and I am delighted to be your Spanish teacher. I was born in the Dominican Republic, raised in New York City, finished Highschool in Grand Rapids MI, and Graduated from college in Boston MA. I am a mother of four boys under the age of 14 yrs old. I love each and every minute of my time with them as there's never a dull moment with these boys! I like to travel, read, go hiking, absolutely love the beach, cook, dance, and music!!

Besides being a full-time mommy, and student. I love helping others and teaching new things. My past students would describe my approach to teaching as'' modern'', ''Raw'', straight to the point, and realistic. I will give you the power to your own learning, and create your own pace, and techniques.
I learned this method with my Biology professor in my second year of college, her approach to teaching was comparing the lesson with real life scenarios, and examples, after that I became a fan of her teaching techniques and applied them to myself whenever I'm learning something new, or teaching my kids, my friends, and students.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is very versatile, easy, realistic, simple, clear precise, and fun.
I like to teach with everyday examples, words, and scenarios that we always use. I don't like to start with too many unnecessary words, Spanish teachers tend to teach everything except for the real important vocabulary that you really need to know because they will be your most frequently used words.
by the end of our first four weeks, you will know, and understand what you see, and what you hear, implement words to carry on a conversation, and familiarize yourself with pronouns, and synonyms.

My module of teaching is by focusing on words, and synonyms that are used in our everyday life just like we do when we speak English. I like to go straight to the point.
