About Ayla

Hi everyone! I am Ayla, and I am an incoming sophomore in high school. I have lots of experience working with kids, such as babysitting, and caring for younger cousins. My experience with kids has allowed me to better understand the needs of children when in an educational setting. As a student, I understand the difficulties of learning math. I have the most experience with tutoring kids up to 6th-grade math.

About the lesson

Throughout my experience, I have always enjoyed helping others learn and watching them succeed. I understand that everyone has different learning styles and my patience and personalization of each lesson helps ensure that each student reaches their goals. I enjoy working with elementary and early middle-school students to fill in gaps in their understanding or enhance their knowledge. Before our sessions, I will reach out to assess the level of your child's understanding of the material and how I can best support them. Each lesson will include a personalized curriculum that addresses your child's needs, practice worksheets, notes, and thorough feedback to improve further learning. In addition, I utilize the features of technology for taking notes which can be beneficial for visual learners.

I understand that learning math in a classroom setting can be stressful for students. There are many benefits that come along with individualized learning online. When working with students, I strive to provide a space where they can learn and grow in a stress-free environment. Along with adopting the idea that anyone can learn math in a way that makes sense and we can learn and grow from our mistakes.
