About Jackson

I got straight A's in high school while taking 10 AP's (with nine 5's and one 4), I got a 36 on my ACT, and I just graduated from Brown University with straight A's and degrees in Computer Science and Political Science. However, I will be the first to tell you that I am not a super genius who knows everything! Instead, this success has come from hard work, dedication to learning, and the effective organization and use of my time to succeed in school. These are all skills which I am still perfecting, and which I truly believe anyone can learn! I know that through our work together, I can help you develop these same strategies and achieve your academic goals!

Moreover, I spent 3 years as a Teaching Assistant at Brown, where I helped lead and instruct Computer Science courses. Through this experience, I learned that I love helping others learn! I will go above and beyond to help you in any way that I can, not just because I am your tutor, but because I genuinely want to teach you and help you get where you want to go!

About the lesson

I am an experienced instructor who knows that the key to effective tutoring/teaching is meeting students where they are! I want to get to know you as a person, and use that to figure out how to best integrate my personal knowledge with your own. From there, I can best relate with you and help you achieve your academic goals!

With me, lessons are not lecture style sessions where you just listen to me talk. Instead, they are interactive and organized to specifically fit your needs. Content and discussions are grounded in what you do, where you might be struggling, and how I can relay information in a way that makes sense to you!

I have experience tutoring or instructing students of all ages, from middle school to college. Regardless of who you are or what your background, I am confident I can help you get to where you want to be!
