About Angie

My name is Angela Hernández Blanco, I am 28 years old, and I currently live in the state of Kentucky with my husband. I recently completed my master's degree in Competency-Based Education, where I developed a deep appreciation for teaching. I started giving English lessons to Latino children close my area, and later I began teaching Spanish to American children and some friends. Through this platform, I hope to connect with many more people interested in learning Spanish and share my knowledge in a very pleasant and personalized way.

About the lesson

My approach as a tutor centers around creating a dynamic and student-focused learning environment that is both engaging and effective. I aim to foster not only understanding but also a genuine interest in the subject.

I use a combination of methods that adapt to the specific needs and learning styles of my students. These include:

Communicative Approach: This method emphasizes practical usage of the language or subject in real-world situations. I encourage active participation, dialogue, and interaction.

Task-based Learning: I assign tasks or projects that challenge students to apply what they’ve learned in problem-solving contexts, making learning more active and hands-on.

Scaffolded Instruction: I provide structured support that gradually reduces as the student gains independence. This helps in building their confidence and ensuring mastery over time.

Differentiation: I customize lessons to match the student's proficiency level, interests, and goals, offering a personalized experience. This could involve advanced exercises for stronger students or simplified concepts for those who need more foundational understanding.

As a Tutor
I believe that no two students learn the same way. I tailor my teaching style to fit each student’s unique needs, be it through varied resources, pace adjustment, or focus on specific areas.

My lessons are interactive and focused on active participation. I incorporate technology, real-world examples, and creative methods to keep students engaged and motivated.
