About Emma
I am an experienced Spanish tutor with a first-class Spanish and French degree from Newcastle University, as well as a TEFL diploma. I have lived in Mexico and Spain and taught English and Spanish to a range of students, from young kids to adult learners; beginners to more advanced levels. My classes are relatable and engaging, helping you to build confidence, perfect your linguistic skills and overcome the challenges that have been stopping you from fulfilling your potential.

Every student is different - you have your own strengths, weaknesses and styles of learning. Above all, I focus on identifying your unique characteristics in order to tailor my tutoring sessions to your specific needs. As your Spanish tutor I will focus on the four key cornerstones to language learning: reading, writing, listening and speaking, while also contemplating cultural themes. I am a creative teacher and will think outside the box whenever you are having real difficulty in grasping any particular element of Spanish - I honestly believe that anyone can master a foreign language, it's just about finding the right methods for you!
Importantly, I believe language learning should be fun and exciting. My Spanish sessions with you will ensure you have the positivity and confidence to reinforce learning in the classroom, tackle examinations or simply enjoy interacting in Spanish on a personal level, with greater cultural understanding.
