Hello, my name is Shoko. I am a native Japanese speaker currently based in Melbourne.

I am a friendly, patient, and reliable tutor who is passionate about helping students feel comfortable and confident when learning Japanese. Hi, I’m Shoko, a native Japanese speaker based in Melbourne. I offer friendly and practical Japanese lessons mainly focused on conversation and real-life communication.

My teaching approach is simple and relaxed. I believe that the best way to learn a language is by actually using it, so my lessons are conversation-based. I will support you in speaking naturally, building confidence, and understanding how Japanese is really used in daily situations.

I don’t use complicated teaching methods or heavy textbooks. Instead, I tailor each lesson to your level and goals. For example, we can practice daily conversation, travel phrases, pronunciation, or simple grammar when needed. I also use English to explain things clearly, so beginners can feel comfortable.

A typical lesson is 30 - 60 minutes, but I can adjust depending on your needs.
