About Landri
I am a friendly first-year student at North-West University and a native Afrikaans speaker who was one of the top achievers in Afrikaans in high school. I understand how challenging Afrikaans can feel, and I enjoy helping learners build confidence, improve their understanding, and achieve better marks. I explain work in a simple, patient, and step-by-step way, adapting to each student’s pace. I am fluent in Afrikaans and English and aim to create a relaxed, supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and improving at their own speed.

My teaching approach is relaxed, patient, and focused on building confidence. I explain Afrikaans in a simple, step-by-step way and adapt each lesson to the student’s pace and needs. What makes my tutoring unique is that I focus on making Afrikaans feel less intimidating and more understandable, especially for students who struggle with language concepts.
I am fluent in Afrikaans (native speaker) and English, and I am able to teach and explain concepts in both languages depending on what helps the student best.
In a typical lesson, students can expect clear explanations, guided practice, help with homework or assignments, exam preparation, and tips for improving essays, comprehension, and language structure. Lessons are interactive and supportive, with space for questions at any time.
My lessons are aimed at high school students (Grades 8–12), both Home Language (HL) and First Additional Language (FAL) learners, especially those who want to improve their understanding, marks, or confidence in Afrikaans.
