Having lived in Paris consistently for four years and studied French for over 13 years, in addition to nannying and tutoring children from 2 to 26 years old, I have sufficient teaching and living experience in fluent French to instruct students of all levels and ages.
My methods of instruction are readily adaptable. I develop my own content from various text and internet resources, including curriculum from nationally accredited French institutions from the Education Nationale. I have a very structured approach, in the sense that one hour lesson will include 20 minutes of oral, 20 minutes of comprehension and 20 minutes of writing. However, I adapt each lesson to a students needs and pace, meaning that we will spend more time on a certain area with ease and comfort, if need be.
Having taken the DALF/DELF and written a thesis and defense in French for a Masters of Research, I am able to adapt to any curriculum and needs you may have from French 101 to conducting interviews and writing cover letters in French.
My tutoring experiences span from one-on-one since college in 2011, to full French high school classes in 2011-2014. I have taught over hundreds of students since 2011, and thanks to my instruction and guidance, over 50 students have found jobs in the hospitality, communications and business industries.
I am currently in between Paris and the Boston metropolitan area. I offer webcam sessions.
Due to traveling costs, such as gas for over 4 miles, there is an additional fee.
