About Isabel
My interest in economics began with curiosity about how countries develop, how inequality forms, and how policies shape opportunity. This passion led me to complete a B.A in International Economics and later an M.Sc in Public Policy Economics, where I gained deeper understanding of both theory and real-world economic systems. Over the past 11 years, I have helped students approach economics with clarity, confidence, and motivation.
I teach with patience and strong structure, ensuring learners feel supported rather than overwhelmed. I believe students learn best when concepts are explained step by step, linked to real examples, and reinforced through guided practice. I encourage independent thinking and open discussion so learners gain confidence expressing economic ideas.
Outside tutoring, I stay engaged with economics through policy research, global development readings, and analysis of financial trends. Teaching economics is fulfilling because I see students transform into confident thinkers who understand systems that once felt confusing.

Economics becomes truly meaningful when students see it as a subject that explains how societies grow, how governments make choices, and why markets behave the way they do. My lessons focus on helping learners understand economic thinking through clear explanation of trade, inflation, taxation, consumer behavior, and development challenges. I create sessions that feel supportive and practical, where graphs and theories are connected directly to everyday life and global events.
Each lesson is structured around the learner’s level and academic needs. Beginners receive calm guidance through basic concepts such as scarcity, supply and demand, opportunity cost, and simple market equilibrium. Intermediate students strengthen their skills in elasticity, market competition, macroeconomic indicators, and policy evaluation. Advanced learners explore international economics, public finance, growth models, and essay writing that requires balanced analysis and strong economic reasoning. Practice questions, structured feedback, and discussion-based learning are included in every session.
Economics lessons also build lifelong analytical skills. Students learn how to interpret current events, think critically about social challenges, and understand economic forces shaping the world. My goal is to help learners succeed academically while developing confidence in their ability to reason clearly and thoughtfully.
