About Jana
I am a coastal engineer working in Cape Town. I studied at Stellenbosch University where I completed my BEng (Civil) and MEng (Coastal). I aim to help students understand and not just learn. I believe it is easy to dislike something if you don't understand it and I would like to help everyone find out whether they REALLY dislike math or whether they just don't understand it.

I am focused on helping you understand difficult concepts and how to use different techniques to understand and solve different kinds of questions. A typical lesson will include going through your class work and examples to make sure you understand your school notes, followed by additional examples and questions to help you practice the work. I will answer all work related questions to the best of my abilities. I would love to help any high school students (grades 8 to 12) struggling with mathematics. I am able to teach in both English and Afrikaans.

Perfect! Jana is very patient and loves what she does. She was the only tutor willing to help me with my IEB exams. I have improved so much in the last few months and it is all thanks to our lessons. I would recommend her to anyone that is looking for trustworthy tutor and is maybe scared of being judged or feeling like a burden as I was. She makes any kid feel at home with her caring way of working with people ,ensuring a optimal learning environment.
