About Matthew
I’ve been a teacher for over ten years in Taiwan, Georgia and online. In that time I have tutored chess players in person and online.I ran classes groups of students in person, writing my own materials and curriculum. I have also taught online using lichess, chess.com and Google slides.

I have been playing competitive chess for thirty years reaching an ELO in the 1800s. I have over ten years experience teaching adults and children online and in person. I will prepare materials personalized for you based on my analysis of your games, tactics and opening theory. I think that classes should be rigorous and demanding but also fun and laid back.
