About Tayla

I am busy with my PhD in Physical Chemistry, which has a combined focus on Chemistry, Maths and Physics. I have both an Honors and Masters degree in Chemistry from UCT.

I have been tutoring high school Maths and Science since leaving high school, so I have stayed in touch and up to date with the syllabus and exam styles for both CAPS and IEB schools.

I have held matric revision workshops for students at all learning levels so I am capable of helping all students set and achieve realistic goals.

Through my experience with a large range of students from different backgrounds, I have developed a very adaptable pedagogy.

About the lesson

I use a hands-on approach, and focus on working through problems/ concepts students struggle with.

Lessons are typically 1/2 hours. I like students to come prepared with questions/topics they are struggling with so the lessons are targeted.

I also offer homeschooling lessons where we cover everything in line with the CAPS syllabus.

I also offer crash courses/ revision sessions where we review entire subjects (typically run close to exam time)

My lessons are aimed at all learning levels and ages, but I mostly teach grade 11 and 12 students.
