About Tanya
I have a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from the University of British Columbia. I have a Bachelor's of Education degree from Lakehead University and I have my DEFL B2 and French as a Second Language Additional Qualifications. I was in the French immersion program in grade school and lived in France for 3 years. I am currently teaching grade 7 Late French Immersion, but I have also previously taught grade 3 French Immersion in Ontario and in BC.

I like to give my students lots of opportunities to speak in French using real-life situations and action-oriented tasks. I introduce new vocabulary and grammar structures and then set up structured conversations. Eventually students will gain more confidence and be able to speak spontaneously. I am also able to help students with French homework assignments, projects, essays and exam prep.
